SERIES SUMMARY

When we encounter a need, our first instinct is often to search for a solution that can alleviate the situation and provide relief to those affected by it. We tend to focus on finding something that can rescue people from their struggles and improve their lives.

However, God’s approach to addressing our needs is not primarily centered around providing the specific “what” that will make our needs disappear. Instead, the essence of God’s solution lies in the personhood of the one who can help us navigate and overcome our needs.

Jesus comes and he says I am the PERSON you have been waiting for. It’s really not about the WHAT it’s about the WHO. What if you have been waiting for a person and not something else? What if Jesus is who you have been waiting for? What if Jesus is the one you have been looking for?

Who God is, matters more than what God provides when it comes to addressing the needs in our lives. It is not simply about the “what” our needs require to disappear, but rather the “who” that can truly bring true and lasting solutions to the needs of the world.

The good news is that Jesus does come to present himself as the ultimate solution to all of our needs.

Jesus enters the scene and declares, “I am the person you have been waiting for.” The focus shifts from the external “what” to the central significance of the “who.” What if the answer to our longing has been a person all along? What if Jesus is the very embodiment of what we ha
