healing comes when we embrace what’s true even in the dark

SERIES NAME: HEALING COMES

BOTTOM LINE: A BETTER RESPONSE TO MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS CREATES A SPACE OF LEARNING, SHARING, AND HEALING.

Mental health needs can’t be ignored they have to be responded to according. Our view of mental health will influence how we respond to mental health needs. As a church community, if we have a better response to mental health we will easily create a space of learning, sharing, and healing. How we see each other determines how we love each other.

There can never be a space of healing if our attitude towards mental health is more condemning and never welcoming. Only when we are willing to welcome and be a part of each other’s stories, we will give each other the freedom to share, learn and heal. A sharing community is a healing community.
It’s my hope that we can lean more on empathy and that we see each other and hear each other through the eyes and ears of compassion. This season is hard and there are a lot of people that are struggling at the moment. The best way to live in this season is through compassion. If you are struggling, remember that you are cherished and that we are here for you as a community. There’s so much hope for you, just hold on.
