CELEBRATION OF TRANSFORMATION- Aubrey Banda

Hi, my name is Aubrey Banda a.k.a Nehem and I am 25 years old. I got to know Jesus as a child through my Christian family. In 2008 I had a serious encounter with Jesus and made the decision to follow Him. I have always been a smiling guy. I love making friends and talk about life and Jesus. I love sports very much and I play soccer and volleyball.

I want to share how Jesus provided education and work for me, and how I trusted God in these areas. When I chose what to study Theology my parents didn’t really like it and there was no money for schools fees, so I prayed to God and trusted Him to provide.

A friend of mine from America contacted me saying that God spoke to Him to help with my fees. He told me to apply to any college or university and he would provide my school fees. I was like “wow, praise God”. After that my trust in Jesus was strengthened, and I said “ I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength”. I was able to go to college and study Theology and graduated in 2018.

When I was in my second year I was worried about my future and it affected my studies. I was worried about what I was to do after school. My wish was to use my talents and gifts in ministry. One day after morning devotion one of the students was talking to his friends. I was passing by and I heard Him saying to his friends, “He is the same God who was is and will be, He will never change”. And that reminded me that I got into the college not by my own strength and power, but it was God who made it possible. So I said to myself “trust God and remember He is your God”.

When I was in my last year in the college the guy who was paying my school fee gave me a very huge opportunity to work with them. So God didn’t only provide me with education, but also with work! When I think about it, all I see is God at work. God has moved in my life beyond what I could have imagined.
